Thank you for choosing Ascendia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information when you visit our website or buy from our online store. By using our website and services, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect
  • Contact information: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address.
  • Payment information: details related to your purchase. We do not store card details. They are processed securely by our payment provider, or by Tabby or Tamara if you choose to pay in instalments.
  • Order information: your orders, purchases and transaction history.
  • Account information: if you create an account, the details linked to it including your login.
  • Website information: pages you viewed, the device and browser you used, and your approximate location from your IP address.
2. How We Use Your Information
  • Order processing: to take, pack, deliver and support your order.
  • Communication: to contact you about your order and answer your questions.
  • Marketing: only with your consent, to send you news about new drops and restocks. You can stop these at any time.
  • Improving our service: to understand what works on our website and make it better.
3. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies make the site work — they keep items in your basket and keep you signed in, and the site will not work properly without them. Analytics cookies tell us which pages are used so we can improve them. Advertising cookies, including Meta's for Facebook and Instagram, let us measure our ads and show them to people likely to be interested. You can block or delete any of these from your browser settings, and you can turn off personalised ads in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings. Blocking the essential ones will stop parts of the site from working.

4. Data Sharing

We share your personal information only where we need to:

  • Delivery: our delivery partner, so they can bring your order to you. If you choose Cash on Delivery, they also handle the payment you hand over.
  • Payment: our card payment provider, Stripe, so your payment can be taken. We never see or store your card details. If you choose to pay in 4 with Tabby, Tabby receives your name, phone number, email address, delivery address and the items in your order, so it can approve and manage your instalment plan under Tabby's own privacy policy. If you choose monthly payments with Tamara, Tamara receives the same details, so it can approve and manage your payment plan under Tamara's own privacy policy. To match payments to orders, our store sends Tabby and Tamara a notification each time an order is placed, which includes the order details.
  • The platform that runs this store: Shopify, which hosts this website and stores your account, basket and order data on its servers outside the United Arab Emirates.
  • Advertising measurement: Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram). We use the Meta pixel and Meta's Conversions API, which send Meta a record of the pages and products you view and the orders you place, together with your name, email address, phone number and address in a scrambled (hashed) form, so Meta can match that activity to an account and we can measure our advertising. This tracking runs whenever you browse the store. To limit it, use your browser's tracking-protection or cookie settings, and your ad preferences inside Facebook and Instagram.
  • Back-in-stock alerts: if you ask us to email you when a sold-out size returns, our back-in-stock service keeps the email address you gave it and uses it for that alert only.
  • Legal compliance: where we are required to by UAE law, or to respond to a lawful request from a competent authority.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share limited information about your activity on our website with Meta, for Facebook and Instagram, so that we can measure our advertising and show it to the right people. Some privacy laws treat that sharing as a sale. You can stop it by blocking advertising cookies in your browser, or by turning off personalised ads in your Facebook and Instagram settings.

5. Keeping Your Information

We keep your order records for as long as we are required to for tax and accounting purposes. Marketing contact details are kept until you ask us to stop.

6. Your Rights
  • Access, correct or delete: ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
  • Object: object to how we are using your information.
  • Withdraw consent: stop marketing messages at any time.
